Meet Our Speakers
Alexandria Wise, Ph. D.
SVP Therapeutic Area Lead CNS
Through both traditional and innovative clinical research methods, Dr. Alex Wise-Rankovic has dedicated her career to the improvement of quality of life for people enduring psychiatric and neurological disorders. As a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in neuropsychology, she has worked clinically with a wide range of clinical disorders across the age spectrum. In her 28 years in clinical research, Alex has held leadership positions in both large academic medical centers and Contract Research Organizations helping to advance investigational medicines to market. She has been a key leader on numerous successful large global clinical programs, directing teams to achieve operational excellence in delivery as well as collaborating with sponsors on the strategic design of psychiatry clinical trials. Alex is currently Senior Vice President and Psychiatry Therapeutic Area Lead for Syneos Health’s Central Nervous System Business Unit, guiding executives and clinical operations teams in the clinical development space. Alex is an active leader in the area of digitally-optimized trials and treatments. She has also served as a consultant and healthcare advocate in the clinical trial industry. Through her advocacy efforts, in 2019, Alex was amongst the Syneos Health Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) Luminary Award nominees and was honored to attend the Woman of the Year event in NYC.
Scott Scarola
Vice President, Decentralized Clinical Trial Operations
Scott joined Syneos Health in early 2021 as Vice President of Operations in the group’s Decentralized Solutions business unit. There he is responsible for the operationalization of the company’s decentralized services and technical capabilities. Scott joined Syneos Health with more than 21 years of clinical trial management and delivery experience across multiple CROs where he led study startup, enterprise reporting and analytics and helped facilitate organizational change initiatives. In his current role, Scott works with organizational leaders to develop infrastructure to support Syneos Health’s DCT delivery capabilities.
Cheri Savercool
Senior Catalyst Site Relationship Manager, Psychiatry & Pain
Cheri Savercool, Catalyst Site Relationship Manager, is based in Greenville, SC and has over 20 years of experience in sales, training, and site leadership. In addition to her role with our Catalyst Psychiatry and Pain Networks, she also has oversite of our Site Advocacy Groups and Scientific Advisory Groups (SAG) for CNS, Oncology and Decentralized Clinical Trials.
