Syneos Health Appoints Japan Deployment Solutions & Consulting Lead

Company Hires Yunke Song to Drive Commercial Growth in Region

MORRISVILLE, N.C., August 3, 2023 – Syneos Health® (Nasdaq: SYNH), a leading fully integrated biopharmaceutical solutions organization, today appointed Yunke Song as Managing Director of Deployment Solutions & Consulting, Japan, based in Tokyo. In this newly created role, Song will deliver on Syneos Health’s strategic commercial growth objectives in the region, delivering high-value customer solutions.

“The commercial market in APAC is expected to grow at a rapid pace in the coming years – fueled by more modern, tech-enabled Deployment Solutions and Consulting capabilities,” said Michael Brooks, Chief Operating Officer, Syneos Health. “We’re excited to have Song join our expanding APAC team where he will be instrumental in helping our customers accelerate the delivery of meaningful therapies to market.”

Song brings valuable expertise to Syneos Health with more than a decade of experience in designing and executing strategic initiatives in the areas of medical marketing, commercial excellence and data-driven R&D. He has a strong understanding of local market dynamics and culture, and is dedicated to problem-solving and developing high-value strategic plans and practical customer solutions.

Prior to Syneos Health, Song was one of the leaders in the life sciences practice at PwC Consulting in Japan. During this time, he made a significant contribution to the consulting services and was responsible for executing multiple initiatives to strengthen the organization including cross-industry collaboration and consultant training. Prior to that, Song worked at Merck Sharpe Dome in Japan for several years in both corporate strategy and Business Unit functions.

Song obtained his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
